The Budget Fashionista provides this summary of how to return an item to Asos for informational purposes only. These policies are subject to change.
Too often, what looks great online doesn’t feel right when it shows up. Asos gets it, and they’ve made returns easy. You just have to send your items back on time and in the same condition they arrived.
When you can return something
You have 28 days from when your order was delivered to start a return.

- Asos will give you your money back using the original payment method.
- Asos processes refunds about 14 days after receiving your items.
- Asos will refund standard delivery if the entire order is returned within 14 days; otherwise, delivery costs aren’t refunded.
If you wait too long, Asos won’t be able to take your item back. They might send it back to you, and you’ll have to pay for that shipping.
Holiday returns
Items you buy between Nov. 17, 2025 and Dec. 19, 2025 can be returned until Jan. 15, 2026.
What can’t be returned
You can only return things that are new, unused, and still have their original tags. Asos can’t take back certain items for hygiene reasons, like:
- Makeup or body products that were opened or used
- Underwear or swimsuits without their hygiene seal
- Pierced jewelry or face masks with broken seals
- Anything marked “Final Sale”
Trying clothes on to see if they fit is fine, but don’t wear them out. Items that look worn, washed, or damaged won’t get refunded.
How to send it back
Sending a return is easy:
- Go to your Asos account, find your order, and click to start a return.
- Follow the steps to make your return label.
- Drop off your package at a UPS Ground location or another return spot listed online.
- Keep your proof of postage just in case you need to track it later.
You’re responsible for the package until Asos gets it, so pack it carefully.
About brand partner items
Some Asos orders come directly from other brands. If that’s the case, you’ll need to send your return to that brand instead of Asos. The package usually comes with instructions and a return label.

If your order was shipped by Asos, you can follow the normal Asos return steps.
Need a different size or color?
Asos doesn’t do direct exchanges. You’ll need to return your original item for a refund and place a new order for the one you want.
Got a damaged or wrong item?
If your item arrived broken or it’s not what you ordered, Asos will fix it. Just start a return online or contact their customer care team.
