Don’t have a bundle to spend on clothes but desperate to add a little life to that ho-hum basic wardrobe? One word: tights. Okay, or stockings, too, but the point is we’re not talking basic black or nude. Kick things up with some pattern, texture, color, and pair them with tunics, sweater dresses, and skirts of all kinds—even the super hot plaid skirts we’re seeing, as long as you keep the tight in a neutral hue. Why are tights a great idea? They are high-impact in the style department, they can be had for super cheap, AND they keep your legs warm (they also make great holiday gifts—hint, hint).
Our faves on an extreme budget:

City Style Tights—Fishnet, 2 for $15, New York & Company

I love tights in bright colors to brighten my outfit. TJ Maxx always has the best selection of Hue and Hot Sox tights in fun colors and patterns on the CHEAP.
The best tights for those on a budget (or anyone!) are from the Assets line at Target. From the inventor of Spanx!
I am so excited to try this trend!!! What a great way to spice up a wardrobe on a budget! I will definitely be pairing them with this new dress…http://tinyurl.com/6q2953
I am in full-blown tight mode! I keep mine simple-thick, grey, black or brown with ribbing-because my legs aren’t tiny. If you have the legs, go for the patterns and funky colors!
