Michelle Obama continues to wow us (and the rest of the style-watchers out there) with her super-chic but down-to-earth First Lady-worthy looks (check out our look for less on Michelle Obama and on the other would-be first lady Cindy McCain). Her latest fashion hit? This gorgeous on-trend black and white patterned dress, which she wore on The View to rave reviews.
The actual dress (and we love this) isn’t exactly couture—it’s a $148 Donna Ricco dress she bought off the rack at White House/Black Market. Off The Rack. Music to our budget fashion ears. Unfortunately, the dress is sooooo sold out, so while it’s not exactly a high end look that’s totally out of reach, we’ve picked some options you could do for now (and yes, for less):
The pictured Delia’s dress echoes Michelle Obama’s choice most closely—it’s only $39.50.
This stylish black and white babydoll dress from JC Penney is also very similar to the real thing—it’s $49.99.
Forever 21’s version comes with a belt and thinner straps. $22.80.

I thought her dress was from <a href=“http://www.whitehouseblackmarket.com/store/browse/product.jsp?pageId=1&productId=300111193&lid=sf_buyThisDress_0623”>White House Black Market</a>? Either way super adorable, and I adore your “thrifty” alternatives
