Shopping at Ann Taylor is fun, but sometimes a piece doesn’t look or fit the way you hoped. Luckily, returns are easy whether you bought your item online or in a store.
Ann Taylor return policy
Ann Taylor accepts returns or exchanges for clothes that are unworn, unwashed, or defective. Start your return online to mail it back or bring eligible items to an Ann Taylor store.
- Items from the Maternity and Swimwear collections can’t be returned in stores.
- Online orders can’t be returned to Loft, Ann Taylor Factory, or Outlet stores.
- Anything marked “final sale” can’t be returned, exchanged, or adjusted in price.

Return window and refund options
You have 30 days from the date of purchase to make a return if you have your receipt or order proof.
- Returns made within 30 days are refunded to your original form of payment or can be exchanged.
- Gift returns made within 30 days receive an online e-gift certificate for the amount paid by the sender.
- Returns after 30 days are refunded for the item’s current selling price as merchandise credit or exchange.
- Returns without proof of purchase are refunded for the current selling price in the form of merchandise credit. If the item is Final Sale on the return date, it isn’t eligible for return.
If your item goes on sale within seven days of purchase, you can get one price adjustment with your receipt.
Holiday returns
You can return purchases made between Nov. 12, 2025, through Dec. 24, 2025, through Jan. 31, 2026. Returns will be credited for the price paid in the original form of tender when you have valid receipt for the purchase.
If you make in-store gift purchases between Nov. 12, 2025 and Dec. 24, 2025, you can return them through Jan. 31, 2026 with a valid gift receipt. You will receive a merchandise credit of the price paid, or you can get a merchandise exchange.
Store returns
If you bought something at an Ann Taylor store, it can only be returned to an Ann Taylor store. Factory store purchases must be returned to a Factory store.
- Bring your receipt if you want a refund to your original payment method.
- Returns without a receipt or made after 30 days will get store credit.
- Gift returns will get store credit or an exchange.
A valid photo ID is required to receive or use merchandise credit in stores.
Online returns
If you purchased online, Ann Taylor offers two easy return options:
Option 1: Return in person
- Start your return online and choose “Visit a Store.”
- You’ll get an email with a return slip or QR code.
- Bring your item and the slip to any Ann Taylor store, and they’ll handle it at the counter.
Option 2: Mail it back
- Start your return online to print a prepaid return label.
- Pack your items with the return invoice and drop them off at UPS or USPS.
- If you use the prepaid label, $8.95 will be taken out of your refund.
You can also ship the package yourself using your own postage, but that usually takes longer to process. Ann Taylor recommends using their prepaid label for faster refunds. The return address is: Ann Taylor Online Store 1901 East State Road 240 Greencastle, IN 46135.
Refunds are credited once the package is received and processed. You’ll get an email confirmation when your return is complete.
Quick exchange service
If you need a different size or color, Ann Taylor offers a quick exchange service. You can call customer service or start a chat to place a new order without paying standard ground shipping fees. They’ll also assist you in returning the original item.
Important reminders
- If you use Ann Taylor’s prepaid return label, $8.95 will be deducted from your refund.
- Online merchandise credit is issued as an e-gift certificate via email.
- Store-issued merchandise credit can only be used in stores.
- Returned checks may incur a $25 service fee or the maximum amount allowed by law.
- Final sale items cannot be returned, exchanged, or adjusted.
Ann Taylor’s return process is simple: keep your receipt, send items back within 30 days, and make sure they’re in new condition. Whether you return by mail or in person, you’ll have your refund or exchange in no time.
