Short ladies wear jeans too, right? So the fashion industry as a whole hasn’t always been great about producing pieces for anyone who’s not tall and thin — but thankfully, that’s changing. Today I can cover the best jeans for petites and have more than two brands to feature, which is awesome. Designers still have work to do, but at least a short lady can find a pair of fashion-forward jeans at a decent price.
Here are my picks for best denim brands that cater to petites.

1. Topshop
Topshop’s stylish line-up of jeans for petites includes all the styles you love: mom jeans, white jeans, dark-wash, wide-leg, slim-leg, crops, and even organic jeans. Prices range from mid-$50s to mid-$70s.

2. Nydj
NYDJ touts itself as the world’s best-fitting jean. I have two pairs of them, both donated to me by a friend. I will say they are comfortable, but I don’t love the cut of either pair.
Still, I include NYDJ here because the brand has an ample collection of wearable styles for petites. Crops, bootcuts, girlfriend jeans, and colored jeans included. Shop them all at NYDJ.com.
3. New Look
U.K. shop New Look has a nice selection of fashion-forward jeans for petites. You can shop the brand here.
I like the “waist enhance mom jean,” which is a nice blend of shape and comfort. If that’s not your thing, you might like skinny black jeans or a wide-legged dad jean in a mid-blue wash. The prices range from £30 to £50.

4. Style & Co.
Style & Co. is another budget brand that makes jeans for shorter ladies. You can shop curvy-fit jeans, kick flare jeans, capri jeans and more at Macy’s. And if you shop the sales, the prices will be around $15 for clearance items and $25 to $35 for regular sale items.
Style & Co. has a more mature vibe than some of the other brands featured here. If you’re looking for a standard jean that’s not too trendy, this is the brand for you.
5. Asos Petite
As if ASOS doesn’t already have a lot of petite jean options, the store has its own ASOS Design Petite offering. Baggy jeans, skinny jeans, colored jeans — they’re all here, ranging in price from $40 to $70.
This is my favorite of the brands listed here. The styles are fashion-forward, but still mostly wearable for a more mature fashionista.

6. Miss Selfridge
Miss Selfridge has been an ASOS-owned brand since 2021. You can find their pieces on ASOS here.
This line-up features mostly skinny jeans and mom jeans in different washes. The prices on Miss Selfridge petite jeans range from $30 to $60.
7. Democracy
Democracy is a mid-range contemporary denim brand sold at Macy’s. It’s known for its Ab Solution jeans, which have smoothing panels and hidden elastic in the waist for a more flattering and comfortable fit. Prices range from $65 to $100 normally, but a sale can save you 30%.
8. Lauren Ralph Lauren
If you’re willing to spend a bit more for trendier styles, try Lauren Ralph Lauren, also available at Macy’s. They are priced at $125 or more, but have far more consistent reviews than other brands on this list. Macy’s carries a range of high- and mid-rise styles, including wide-leg, cropped, and ankle jeans.
