Trend Alert: 7 Chic Pearl Accessories of the Moment

With a pearl head, gold ears and necktie, and aqua body, these couldn’t be any further from the classic pearl earrings you watched your mom put on when you were growing up. At a price under $20, can you really afford not to add them to your collection? We’re giving them two paws up!

2. Librarian chic

There’s a reason librarians wear their glasses on a neck chain (or at least they do in our heads and in the movies). It actually works to make sure those glasses don’t get misplaced. Somehow even if all we’re doing is sitting in bed being mad at Netflix for reminding us that we haven’t moved in three hours, we still manage to misplace our phones.

This pearl necklace iPhone case lanyard is a genius and chic solution. No more looking in the freezer next time your phone’s ringing and you have no idea where it could be. Not that we’ve ever done that.

3. Seeing stars

This pearl handbag by Halogen will definitely be the star of your outfit no matter what you’re wearing! Whether you pair it with the perfect LBD next time you get to have a date night, or dress it down with a T-shirt and jeans, it’s bound to spark a conversation or two. And next time someone says something that makes you want to clutch your pearls, at least you won’t have to reach far!

4. A head above the rest

Headbands are perfect for quarantine life, right? They camouflage undone hair look and are especially useful for growing out the bangs you cut for your self during the Great Lockdown. Maybe that’s why they’re suddenly trendy.

This velvet black and white pearl headband is the perfect accessory to combine both trends in a way that feels fresh, yet somehow like it could have always been something you owned. If you’re still spending most of your time at home, no worries! Put it on for your next wine o’clock Zoom session with your friends and you’ll be the fanciest one on the call, even if you’re still wearing yesterday’s sweatpants.

5. Jumping through hoops

It’s hard for us to resist a good hoop earring, so when we saw these pearl hoops, our hearts skipped a beat. For under $10, they’re probably not going to fool anyone you know into thinking they’re heirloom quality, but they’re fun, cute, and combine two classic looks in an unexpected way. The scale of the faux pearls adds a playfulness to them, so we’d pull these out on your super casual days. Throw on a comfy shirt and shorts or a loose fitting maxi and you’ve got the perfect look!

6. Putting your best foot forward

It’s hard to imagine not feeling footloose and fancy free in these pearl and crystal Keds by Kate Spade. Pearls, crystals, and Keds in the same sentence sounds like a setup to a bad joke, but we’re telling you, it works! And why can’t you be fancy as heck while still being comfortable?

This line was created for brides and soon-to-be brides, but we think these shoes are perfect whether you’re walking down the aisle or walking in circles around the block to avoid going stir crazy.

7. One necklace to rule them all

Black beads and pearls go together like peanut butter and jelly. They’re already great on their own, but together in this long strand necklace they create a look that’s stylish, sexy, and sophisticated without making you feel like you need a country club membership to wear it.

It’s a great statement necklace that you can rock with anything in your wardrobe. We’d love to see it dressed down for a more casual look, paired with a simple knit or cotton summer dress as your only jewelry and a great pair of black sunglasses.

Yay! The reason for the pearl necklace iphone case lanyard simply makes me smile. I admit I am, sometimes, one of those who tend to look for my phone everywhere when it's ringing. Haha. I love that pearl headband - a very nice alternative and seems to even look better than a fascinator.
