Lane Bryant return policy

The Budget Fashionista provides this review of the Lane Bryant return policy for informational purposes only. These policies are subject to change.

Lane Bryant wants you to love every purchase, but if something isn’t quite right, returns are simple to handle either in-store or by mail. Here’s how it works.

When you can make a return

You can return most items within 45 days of your purchase date.

  • If you paid with a Lane Bryant Credit Card and are a Rewards member, you get 60 days to return your order.
  • You’ll need a receipt, packing slip, or order confirmation to get your refund.

Returns made within the allowed time are refunded at the price you paid. After that, you’ll receive a merchandise credit instead of a refund.

How refunds are given

  • Returns made within 45 days (or 60 days for Rewards members using the Lane Bryant Credit Card) are refunded to your original form of payment, as store credit, or through an exchange in stores.
  • Returns made after that period are refunded as store credit or as an e-gift card for online orders, using the lowest price of the item during current sales or promotions.
  • Gift returns with a gift receipt receive store credit for the amount paid by the sender.

If you paid with a gift card, your refund will come as store credit. For purchases made with more than one payment type, the refund will go back to each method in the same proportions used during purchase.

Returning to a store

In-store returns are free and quick.

  • Bring your item, your receipt or packing slip, and a valid photo ID such as a driver’s license or state ID.
  • Refunds are processed immediately, though it may take a few days for your bank to post the credit.

In-store purchases must be returned to a Lane Bryant store.

Returning by mail

If you ordered online, you can start your return through the Lane Bryant website or your online account.

  • Print the prepaid return label and attach it to your package.
  • A $7.95 return shipping fee is deducted from your refund when you use this label.
  • Shipping fees from your original order are not refunded.

If you choose to ship the return on your own instead of using Lane Bryant’s label, your refund may take longer to process. You’ll get an email once the return is completed.

Mail returns should be sent to:
Lane Bryant Returns Department
200 Heritage Drive
Pataskala, OH 43062

For international orders, items must be returned by mail within 45 days. Refunds are given in the same currency and exchange rate used during your original purchase, but shipping charges are not refunded.

What can’t be returned

Lane Bryant only accepts returns for items that are unworn, unwashed, and in good condition. Items that look worn, have missing tags, or are marked as final sale cannot be returned or exchanged. Final sale merchandise is sold “as is.”

Price adjustments

If an item you bought at full price goes on sale within 14 days, you can request one price adjustment. The item must still be available in the same size and color for the lower price.

Other important details

  • You may need to show a photo ID for certain returns or exchanges.
  • Store credits never expire but can’t be redeemed for cash or gift cards.
  • Returned checks are subject to a $25 fee or the maximum amount allowed by law.
  • For items bought with multiple discounts like “Buy One, Get One 50% Off,” the return credit reflects the adjusted price.
