Forever 21 return policy: Everything you need to know

The Budget Fashionista provides this review of the Forever 21 return policy for informational purposes only. These policies are subject to change.

Sometimes the outfit you were excited about just doesn’t work once it arrives. Maybe the fit is off or the color isn’t what you expected. Here’s what you should know about the Forever 21 return policy, so you can avoid paying for something you don’t want.

Note: Due to Forever 21’s ownership change, any gift cards, store credits, or rewards issued before May 1, 2025, are no longer accepted.

  • You can return eligible items within 30 days of receiving your order.
  • Refunds go back to your original payment method for the amount paid after discounts.
  • Original shipping fees are not refunded.
  • There’s a $9.99 return shipping fee for mailed returns, which is taken out of your refund.

Furniture, mirrors, lamps, wall art, and similar home décor can usually be returned within 30 days, but they may incur a 15% restocking fee in addition to the $9.99 return-shipping fee.

However, furniture or décor marked Final Sale, assembled after delivery, or accepted when damaged on arrival can’t be returned.

What can be returned

  • Items must be unworn, unwashed, and in their original condition with tags still attached.
  • Beauty products can only be returned if they’re unopened and still sealed.
  • Forever 21 checks every return to make sure it’s in good condition before issuing a refund.

What can’t be returned

Some things are final sale and can’t be sent back:

  • Clearance and final sale items
  • Intimates, swimsuits, and undergarments
  • Personalized or altered items
  • Face masks
  • Furniture, mirrors, lamps, and other home décor
  • Bundle deals like “2 for $50” unless you return everything in the bundle

If Forever 21 sent the wrong item or something arrived damaged, the return shipping fee and any restocking fee will be waived.

How to send it back

  1. Go to Forever 21’s online Returns Center to start your return.
  2. Follow the steps to get your prepaid return label.
  3. Pack your item carefully, attach the label, and drop it off.

If you have trouble with the return portal, you can email support@forever21.com for help. For multiple items, you might need to create a label for each one.

About exchanges

Forever 21 doesn’t do direct exchanges. If you want a different size or color, order the new one and return the original. Once your return is processed, the refund goes back to your payment method.

Simple return reminders

  • Keep tags and packaging until you’re sure you’re keeping the item.
  • Don’t wear or wash anything before returning.
  • Always use the official return label for faster processing.
