Zoe Kravitz: Steal Her Style

(Editor’s note: this post was updated 12/2016.)

Irrefutably the girl of the summer, Zoe Kravitz is firing on all cylinders as a style icon in her own right. While she may be the offspring of rock and Hollywood royalty, we’re pretty sure Dad Lenny Kravitz and Mom Lisa Bonet have plenty to be proud of.

Starring in two big summer flicks, George Miller’s Mad Max: Fury Road and Rick Famuyiwa’s DOPE, and fronting her band, Lolawolf, the 26-year-old is certainly grinding her out her own star in the fame game. But besides some serious acting chops and killer vocals, the girl just has vision. Case in point: her enviable LA cool girl style.

She hails from Venice, so it shouldn’t be a surprise she’s mastered the laid-back Californian thing, but this art babe takes it to new heights with plenty of plaid, platforms and other punk inspirations. She’s rebellious yet relaxed, and nailing down Zoe Kravitz signature style is one part Williamsburg, one part Coachella, all parts easy and excellent.

A big fan of the popular 90s throwback trend, you’ll find Kravitz channeling all sorts of Seattle-inspired and norm core moments.

Whether it’s with a slip dress or a romper, Zoe loves a good grunge ensemble complete with boots and a strappy little summer number. Snag this festival-ready look with a plaid or vintage-print one-piece-wonder, a pair of Doc Martens and a tattoo choker. Retro shades and a bucket bag finish it all off in eclectic style.

You can mimic the look in a warmer-weather style with a long-sleeve, plaid shirt dress.

It’s all about the neutrals: mix khaki, black and blue with classic shades and a multi-tasking messenger to be well on your own.

This Zoe-inspired ensemble features a soft, scoop neck T, trench coat and beanie — all classic pieces that can stay in your rotation indefinitely.
