Saks Return Policy: What to know
Timing of returns
Return your merchandise within 30 days to get a refund to the original form of payment. Furs, jewelry, and watches will not be accepted after 30 days. Most other merchandise can be accepted after 30 days and up to a year, but you’ll get store credit instead of a refund. Also, after 30 days, you’ll be credited based on the item’s current selling price.
Saks’ holiday return policy
The holiday return policy applies to purchases made between October 15, 2022 and December 31, 2022. These items can be returned until January 15, 2023.
Free mailed returns within 14 days of ship date
You can return unwanted items by mail, free of charge. There’s a catch though — you must start your return within 14 days of the ship date. Start your return by locating the order in your online order history. Print the label or take the QR code (and the item) to your nearest FedEx location.
Documentation
For store returns, present merchandise with original receipt or gift receipt.
What items are not returnable?
You cannot return anything monogrammed or personalized to Saks Fifth Avenue. Also, any item must be in saleable condition — which means not obviously worn or used.
How do I return the item to Saks Fifth Avenue?
You can take your returns to a store or send them in by mail. To send items back by mail, find your invoice and locate your order number. See your order confirmation, packing slip, or order history. Then, visit this page and find the button that says “Start Your Return.” You’ll print a shipping label, box up your merchandise, and ship it back via USPS or Fedex.
Why won’t Saks accept my return?
If Saks won’t accept your return, it’s probably for one of these reasons:
- The item is personalized.
- The item has visible signs of wear.
- The item is a fur, piece of jewelry, or a watch, and you bought it more than 30 days ago.
- You are a serial returner. Saks reserves the right to limit returns to someone who shows a high frequency of returns.
What if something I bought at Saks goes on sale?
Saks Fifth Avenue will honor price adjustments. But you have to move fast — if you see an item drop in price, bring it back to the store within seven days to get an adjustment.

I received a pair of Christian Louboutin black leather boots as a gift. I cannot wear high heeled boots like these, there was no gift receipt with them, and I do not want to hurt their feelings that I didn't want them. I know they were very expensive. They were purchased at Saks, they are in their original box. Could I exchange them for a store credit?
