Shopping online from home, with a drink hand, may seem like the best thing ever at the time. Until you realize the platform shoes you bought — the ones designed to look like the Eiffel Tower — aren’t as “fun” as you thought they were. This story ends well if you found those gaudy ankle-breakers on Zappos, the Internet shop that made free shipping and returns famous. If you bought the shoes elsewhere, well, you might be stuck with double shipping costs and a restocking fee.
Buyer’s remorse doesn’t have to cost you, though. Simply keep your shopping focused on our fav online retailers listed below — all of them offer both free shipping and free returns. Before you pull out the credit card, please note two things:
- Most stores have a minimum order value required to qualify for free U.S. shipping.
- This information is current and accurate as of the date of this post. We will update it regularly, but always double check the terms before you buy. You can use the links below to find the retailer’s latest returns policy.
Get Free Shipping and Returns from These 13 Stores
ASOS (Free Shipping over $40)
ASOS offers free shipping on orders of $40 or more. In the U.S., your order will have a prepaid USPS return label included. Return your items within 28 days of the date you received the order, and you qualify for a refund. See ASOS returns policy here.
Clark’s Shoes (Always Free Shipping)
Clarks has no minimum purchase requirement for free shipping. To qualify for a refund, you do need to return your items (unworn of course) within 90 days. You will need to process the return on Clark’s website with a quick look-up of your order number to access and print your free shipping label. See Clark’s return policy here.
Lulu’s (Free Shipping over $50)
Lulu’s waives its $5 shipping fee for ground shipping if your order value is $50 or more. Act quickly if you don’t like your merch — for a fully free return, the return must be postmarked within 10 days of the delivery date. Visit Lulus.com to look up your order and print your return label. If you miss the 10-day deadline, you can still use Lulu’s return shipping label, but they’ll deduct $7 from your refund. See Lulu’s return policy here.
Macy’s (Free Shipping over $100)
Macy’s orders of $100 or more qualify for free shipping, as do all beauty orders. If you need to return something, visit Macys.com to print a free shipping label. Then, pack up your merchandise and drop it at any UPS location. Your return will be applied back to the same form of payment you used to place the order. See Macy’s online return policy here.
Nordstrom (Always Free Shipping)
If you live in the U.S., including Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico, your Nordstrom.com order ships free. To process a return, visit Nordstrom.com and print out a postage-paid label. You don’t even need an order number to generate the label. But if you don’t have an order number and Nordstrom can’t verify the order, your refund will be put on a Nordstrom gift card. Otherwise, it’ll be applied to the original form of payment. See Nordstrom’s refund policy here.
Sephora (Free Shipping over $50)
Sephora offers standard three-day shipping on all orders over $50. Returns are free, and you can print out a postage-paid label at Sephora.com/returnlabel. You’ll qualify for a full refund as long as you send the item back within 60 days of purchase. Between 61 and 90 days, you’ll get a store credit instead of a refund. See Sephora’s return policy here.
Shopbop (Always Free Shipping)
All orders on Shopbop qualify for free standard, three-day shipping. Keep the documents that come with your order, because your prepaid return shipping label comes with your merchandise. To get a fully free refund, send the item back asap — it has to get to Shopbop within 15 days of receipt. (Shopbop recommends you allow for seven days of transit time.) See Shopbop’s return policy here.

See Zappos return policy here.
