One of my favorite months is here: November. And why, might you ask? What about December (when there is New Years) or October (Halloween)? Sure, fall is a fantastic season, but there is nothing quite like Thanksgiving.

Luckily, November is also known for sales. So, when the month hits and prices drop, in addition to stocking up on discounted everything from head to toe, I also being my annual tradition of “what to wear” – the Thanksgiving edition.

So far, here are my favorite Thanksgiving looks for 2013 that won’t pinch or squeeze after that second slice of pie!

What to Wear on Thanksgiving Day 2013

The Blazer.

Usually, I wear a more fitted top or sweater underneath a blazer. But, I’ve recently seen a lot of women opting for a looser top with a fitted hem – and this will work GREAT for looking cute at Thanksgiving without having to suck it in by the end of the night. Get this one for $29.90 at Uniqlo.

Drop-Waist Dress.

Loose, soft, and hanging on the hip – this look is casual (but looks great with heels and jewelry). Get it at Gap for only $39.99.

Meet Dolman Sleeves.

I’ve always been obsessed, and I can think of no better day to wear this top. Cozy, chic, and (ahem) as spacious as it gets – buy yours at Old Navy for $29.94.

The Shell.

Keyhole Slit Drop Hem Shell Top

Next to wearing a blouse or a silk top, try on a shell. Usually fitted around the neck, the shell hangs on your chest “just so” and accommodates a full belly rather flatteringly. Love this from Express for $29.99.

I love this! I’ve been toying around with what to post for Thanksgiving outfits and wanted to do something that could transition from casual to a little dressier for the actual dinner part. Great ideas!
