Few fashion enthusiasts actually make a trek to the style mecca that is #NYFW but that’s not stopping us from musing about it. From window-shopping post-Christmas to bookmarking our forever favorites, we’re all a little guilty of packing a psuedo-suitcase for week’s coming festivities. Alongside a smorgasbord of cold-weather layers, our lust-list includes a few seasonal staples and key pieces that we’re dying to see and be seen in, given the chance around good ol’ Lincoln Center.
Sub-zero temps are where we draw the line for fashion over function–and no matter what you’ve got going on underneath, in NY, a topcoat is a non-negotiable necessity. To standout in a sea of camel (the blog color du jour) we say, go grey…and skip the lapels. We’d pack up the ASOS mock neck version for a swinging oversized silhouette that seamlessly works with everything in the suitcase.
For travel and touring? It’s all about the baggy jean and bootie in a statement shade like Pantone’s marsala. A small, chunky heel and covered front is bound to stomp out the cold, while a relaxed pant keeps us comfortably cruising through town to see the sights and do a little spending.
Come showtime we’re all about an MK&A-inspired midi dress–but to keep our warmth about us, we’d balance it out with a knee-high shoe number. A tall boot underneath this H&M column sweater is a toasty and trendy match that’s begging to be draped by our trusty signature coat.
The final pieces to the puzzle? Accessories. A furry clutch for a dash of playful texture is bound to bring some positive attention and tech-friendly gloves keep us on our social game to document all that’s fresh and fabulous around us over the course of the week.
