After graduating from Parson’s School of Design with a Golden Thimble Award, Iranian born Behnaz Sarafpour’s career in fashion spiralled upwards and have caught the attention of famed fashion editors, big retailers and actress clients such as Rachel McAdams, Anne Hathaway and Claire Danes . With an internship at Anne Klein (under Narciso Rodriguez), design work for Isaac Mizrahi and a position as head designer of Barney’s New York private collection, Sarafpour has shown great mastery in modern, demure but elegant styles of clothing that consist of simple cuts with avant-garde choice of fabrics. Her exceptional designs especially in doing dresses and coats have won her sponsorship from major companies and one of which have made her the only designer to ever present a collection inside the Tiffany & Co. Flagship store in New York. She is also made a commitment to preserve the environment by releasing a luxury line of clothing made from orangic materials. Sarafpour has also collaborated with other companies such as the Behnaz Red lipstick for Lancome and Earnest Sewn for Behnaz Sarafpour Jeans.
