What: Designer Nicole Miller recently launched a collection of high-priced fine jewelry at JcPenney

From Nicole Miller:

Nicole is the first runway designer to create a fine jewelry line for Jcpenney. The collection includes necklaces, pendants, bangles, rings and earrings with prices ranging from $127.99 to $699.99.

What We Say: While the collection is nice and the pieces look pretty luxe, when we headed to the line’s landing page on JcPenney.com the price were more in the over $1500 range than under $700. May be it’s just me, but JcPenney’s isn’t the type of store I would want to drop $1,000+ on fine jewelry. What do you think?

I have to disagree. My best friend just received a beautiful ring from her boyfriend, (lucky her), and the ring is just so different. It almost reminds me of a few John Hardy pieces I have. Anyway, I always shop at Neimans for Nicole Miller dresses, so naturally, I went over to Neimans in search for this Nicole Miller jewelry. After having no luck finding it, I called my friend. When she told me it was from JCP, I was so shocked. I don’t mind paying the money because it’s by Nicole Miller and everything I have every owned from her makes everyone’s head spin.

The prices are pretty insane for what they are. A necklace in sterling silver with tiny melee diamonds for $750? Also, the pictures are pretty, but if they are JCP quality then the prices are even crazier. Pass.
