What: We attended the Heart Truth Red Dress Fashion Show, an annual event featuring celebrity models wearing designer gowns to support hearth health and raise cause awareness.

What They Say: The Heart Truth is a national awareness campaign for women about heart disease sponsored by the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI), part of the National Institutes of Health, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS)…The centerpiece of The Heart Truth is the Red Dress, which was introduced as the national symbol for women and heart disease awareness in 2002 by the NHLBI. The Red Dress reminds women of the need to protect their heart health, and inspires them to take action.

What We Say: Talk about a fun fashion show – this was a fantastic way for TBF to kick off fashion week. With mega celebs like Patti LaBelle, Denise Richards, Susanne Somers, Ann Curry, Eve and so many more, modeling absolutely gorgeous gowns by renown designers, this show really took the house down. As huge supporters of the Heart Health cause, we at TBF, were proud to be part of the audience. We especially loved the various shapes and sizes of the celebrity models—even a pregnant Leila Ali donned a gown—proving once again, that anyone can look good in the color red.

Some of the looks of the night, in our humble opinion, were Dita Von Teese in a form-fitting, Zac Posen gown, Natasha Bedingfield in Nicole Miller and Taraji P. Henson in Naeem Khan. Each celeb brought her very own flavor (and song choice) to the runway emphasizing her personal style and giving us The Red Dress in a whole new light.

Note: We received a Heart Health goody bag for attending.
