Necessity is the mother of invention, and that’s how these Etsy members invented something that’s good for, well, Etsy members and craft fair types.

The circuit board clipboard was imagined by Debby Arem Designs when looking around, realized a hard surface was needed to make a credit card imprint when people were picking up their knit goods. The circuit board, which would usually be tossed, was long, flat and apparently in the right place at the right time. Anytime someone takes an item that would clog up our landfills and makes it useful – we applaud them. Making one that’s affordable? Well, that’s when we fall in love. For $20.50 you can do your part to save the earth while looking cool. Well, dorky cool, but that’s still cool.

The designers want you to know that you don’t have to start charging people’s Visa’s for “services rendered” just to enjoy the usefulness of this geekery product. They’ll add a handy magnetic strip if you like and you can put it on your fridge – tada! Grocery list holder.

They’ve also added a free pen while supplies last so you’d better get it today! Did you see that fine looking pen attached to the board via round ball chain? We knew you wouldn’t be able to resist.
