1. Miss Jessie’s Curly Pudding

Miss Jessie's Curly Pudding leave-in hair product for Black women.

The Miss Jessie’s brand caters to kinky, coarse hair.

The legendary Curly Pudding is a leave-in product lengthens tight curls and transforms them into long ringlets. The formula contains moisturizing oils (jojoba, almond, avocado, macadamia seed) plus shea butter and aloe. Note that I included Curly Pudding here because it is a cult-favorite product — but know that recent reviews have been spotty. Try out a small 2-oz. tub to start.

You can find Curly Pudding on Amazon or at MissJessies.com.

I use one called Pro Natural’s, its an argan oil conditioner that salons use for hair that needs to be kept strong and healthy. It makes my hair sooo soft and it smells really good. You should get their argan oil for after a shower too, it won't make your hair greasy, but it helps a lot with dry and frizzy hair. All their stuff is online. See if they're in stock because they sell out real fast.

Coconut oil! I started using it for on my son, he has super dry skin. After reading more about it decided to start using it on my hair... AMAZING. I'll have to try the one in the post. Thanks for sharing!

While I don't have these hair issues, I'm glad to see you covering them with great products at an affordable price point. BTW, the Aveda Confixer smells incredible!!! Will definitley repost to facebook. Wishing you would also cover an organic product by Organic Siren...truly helps with roseacea because it's all organic and helps to calm down skin irritation. www.organicsiren.com. Her products are all hand blended...only mentioning it because you were blogging about organic--which I love any time I can find them. Thanks for all the great work you put into this blog. I read it every day faithfully and have found some amazing products that I wouldn't have known about otherwise. All the best, Yvonne
