Cropped pants are often easier to style than full-length pants, meaning you can wear brightly colored capris or bright colors with capris. Paired with sandals and a light top, capris make a cute summer outfit that’s appropriate for wherever the day takes you.
Here I paired my white capris with Toms and a lace tank layered under a crop top. I was working at a music festival, so this was perfect because my pants were an appropriate length without jeopardizing comfort in the hot weather. The tanks were layered under my work shirt while I was on the job, and the outfit looked festival-friendly on breaks.
Notice my keys connected to the belt loop. One of my co-workers actually lost his keys in the shuffle while he was watching a band perform. There’s definitely something to say for having pockets and belt loops!
For Working Out
Capri yoga leggings are my choice of wear for yoga class. Bootleg yoga pants can sometimes catch your toes when you’re trying to find stillness in poses like downward dog and mountain pose. Yoga shorts can be too revealing. Mid-length yoga pants have many benefits. They’re tight so they won’t snag on anything and they’re a comfortable length so you’re covered. The medium coverage level makes them great for any class, from hot yoga to gentle.
I recently have started to take up aerial yoga in New York City. I wore yoga capris to my first class and they didn’t get in the way of performing stunts like this one.
