This past June, I wrote about the launch of Forever 21’s “higher-end” collection called Twelve by Twelve. Well the line is now up and running at twelvebytwelve.com and it’s not bad… not bad at all. In fact, I like it. While the selection is as limited as the sizing, you can tell that there was a bit of thought put into this line. Beading is mixed with higher quality jersey knits. Jackets have darts that are straight and in the right place. The Outerwear has details like pleats, wood buttons, etc. It resembles a more fun, less costly version of the Vera Wang at Kohls line.
Basically, it’s Forever 21 for grown folks. Click below for some of my favorite picks.

Boyfriend Knit Jacket, $39.00
What: Twelve by Twelve, the higher priced line coming to a Forever 21 (and a computer at twelvebytwelve.com) near you.
The Look: More lux than cheap, with most of the pieces still under $100. Let’s hope it includes a better return policy and cleaner dressing rooms.
What the fashion heads say: “Forever 21 is fast fashion, it’s quick-turn, young and fun,” said Betsy Zanjani, vice president of merchandising for the project, “whereas Twelve by Twelve is a grouping of items designed to go together, to be worn together. It will be a little bit more sophisticated, much more luxury.”
