Fashion Advice: Budget Rain Boots
December 4, 2007 08:28 PM

Dear Budget Fashionista,

I live in Portland, OR and it rains here.... ALOT… I desperately need a pair of stylish Rain Boots, but I don’t want to spend over $50. Any suggestions?

Answer: $50 for a pair of Rain Boots? Girl....

Thanks to Target, there’s absolutely no reason to pay more than $20 for a pair of Rain Boots. You can even find Rain Boots “inspired” by the infamous Burberry Rain Boots.  My only gripe is that few are available in sizes 11 and up.

i bought some target boots in july, but because i live in the south, i haven’t gotten to wear them yet!  but order a size down.  they’re sized a little big.  they’re all really cute and affordable, though, and pretty comfy from what i found wearing them around my house because i felt sorry for them!

I love the wedge heels with polka dots, very fun. $20 is an unbelievable price. The pink Burberryesque boots in the link above are very scary.

FYI, to make these kind of boots more walking-friendly so you can wear them out and about all day, I suggest putting in some kind of arch support. The less expensive versions tend to be pretty flat inside…

I live in Portland too!!!!!! Anyways TJ Maxx had some great ones for $17 I think awhile ago… I tried getting rainboots from target last year but all the stores sell out of them really quickly because.. well.. it’s oregon. So I’d try online rather than running around the city trying to find cheap rain boots if you want them from Target....
