Okay, we know it’s not even officially winter yet, but it’s our job to be looking ahead (and who doesn’t love thinking about spring, anyway?). Candy Pratts-Price at Style.com has been on the job, too, picking out a selection of key accessories fresh from the Spring runway shows. We’ve gone ahead and compiled a cheat-sheet for you on the common themes—keep these in mind while you’re shopping for your favorite fashionista, or planning really far ahead for your own spring looks:

Metallics. Think bronze and gold—in pale tones—on shoes, handbags, jewelry.

Skins. We talking about the animal kind, of course, snake and croc, done over in white or spring shades.

Embellishment: The big faux gems are toned down, and joined by delicate, understated beading. We like.

Artsy influences: Graphic and painted designs, art noveau touches.

Shoe additions: Stilettos and wedges will stay on the scene, but add the colored mule for something feminine and fun.

Held over: Clutches (again, in bright color and interesting textures); cuff bracelets; patent (in smaller touches and cheerful hues).
