Wow!! I was really surprised that out of approximately 15 people that have taken this poll, well over half have decided that buying eco-friendly fashion is too granola for them. It all wears the same way and some recycled clothing is even softer and more comfortable than traditional clothing. I used to not think too much about recycling, and in no way am I a treehugger, but we all need to do our part in taking care of this planet before we completely destroy it and ultimately ourselves.
It’s not that it’s too granola for me, it’s last it’s too hypocritical for me. Nearly all the “green clothing” sold at Forever 21, Delia’s, JC Penney, what have you, aren’t even made of organic materials and are just “green” to be trendy. Same goes for those now omnipresent tote bags.
I’d definitely buy some nice organic tshirts, though, if I could find any less expensive than what American Apparel’s selling.
