The Deal: Shop Shopbop.com and get an extra 20% off already-reduced prices with this code—BONUS20.

The Lowdown: We love Shopbop.com for the latest trendy designer goods, but on a budget it can still be hard to pick up those 7 For All Mankind jeans we covet. That’s why we love a deal like this—with an extra 20% off prices that are already marked down 30-50%, on everything from shoes to handbags to dresses and more, we just might be able to satisfy that designer craving.

We think this flirty black and white silk Alice + Olivia Circle Pleat Halter dress is a deal when you get 20% off of the already reduced price of $183.50—especially when you consider the original price of $367.00. More in the mood to pick up some fab footwear? How about this KORS Michael Kors metallic leather sandal, whihc retails for $285.00 but is on sale for $142.50 (and with the code you’ll get 20% off of that . . . ).

Shop the Sale: Shopbop.com and enter this code at checkout: BONUS20. Hurry, the coupon code expires Thursday, Aug. 7, at 11:59 p.m.

You’re joking, right? Please tell all of us that you’re joking. I’m insulted that you consider Shopbop.com a place for budget fashionistas to shop because ONE bracelet cuff that is $200 is still well over $100 regardless of a 20% discount. I don’t care if it was in the “green” jewelry section - I’d much rather save my sanity and my wallet than the planet when it comes to purchasing from that store.

aMi_B, we totally agree that Shopbop is not truly budget (you KNOW we’re Target girls at heart around here!)—it IS, however, a place to get designer goods at a big discount, if that’s what you’re into. For those who crave designer but can’t quite manage the full retail prices, 20% off of Shopbop.com’s already reduced prices is a way to get the goods for a little less . . . but yeah, strictly speaking in terms of pricetags, Marshalls it’s not.

I think it’s time we have another discussion on TBF about value vs. price. I’mnot saying Shopbop is the end all to be all for budget shopping (I think my love for Marshalls, Fashion Bug, and Salvation Amry is well documented).

However, if I was going to buy a good winter coat that will last me a bit (ie cost per wear), then I am going to get a good brand.

TBF isn’t about finding cheap stuff for less, it’s about finding GOOD stuff for less
