Worthington® 'Rowen' Suede Pump,
$34.99 at JCPenneys.com

I'm not a big fan of JC Penney's, but if the pair of chocolate suede "Rowen" block heel pumps shown above, from JCP's Worthington line, is any indication of the store's fall collection, I might have to add JCP back to my shopping arsenal. More great fall finds from JCPenney's

Just wondering.....why you do not like JCP? Not that I’m a fan either....I have a hard time finding things to fit me....at size 14, I find being bumped up several sizes to find decent clothes is just maddening, and the selection is not that great.

But these things look cute.....

I am all about the chunkier heels!  (Especially paired with a “bell dress” or coat!)

I haven’t shopped at Penney’s in years, but just a few weeks ago I saw a pair of a.n.a. brown flat knee-high boots featured in InStyle magazine. I bought them (they were on sale for $80, plus had a free shipping code!) and I love them.

I buy lots of work clothes at JCP’s and even their petite section isn’t too bad.  My friends never believe me, but really, if you look around there’s plenty of fashionable stuff to be found at reasonable prices.  Although the bigger stores definitely have a better selection.

Usually I don’t like Sears or JCPenney, but recently, I too have been shocked with what they have.  At the labor day sale I bought several nice trousers from Sears at $9.99 each.  JCP has a couple of great looking things this fall, I’ll be checking them out too.

I really like the Nicole by Nicole Miller line at JCP.  My favorite top right now, a sheer ivory short-sleeved blouse with a silky cami is from her line at JCP.

I am REALLY feeling the Johnny collar wrap dress. I wish it came in Brown, or Red, but this dress is mine!

A bit of a differing opinion here, but I like our local JCP. True, the selection is a lot more limited than it might seem (there are a lot of clothes and styles, but very few that are actually flattering on me), but I’ve found some amazing clothes for cheap, there. My current fave is a knee-length, flared denim skirt from their Bisou Bisou line. It looks amazing on me, is ultra-stylish (looks like some trendy designer piece), and just one of my favorite items of clothing, ever (probably because it’s really comfortable too). Plus, it was very inexpensive (on sale). Don’t pass up Penneys ... you’d be surprised at what you might find.

I took some time to look around their website. I saw some great things there. I believe a true fashionista can work with what she’s given and make the truly mundane into something truly fabulous. JCP doesn’t sell the attitude to make it work....you know?. I will definately keep them on my list for work clothes.

Even though these are old companies, JCP and Sears are not in the same league. JCP has very exacting standards for their clothing and if you were a manufacturer you’d have to adhere to their fit rules. Years ago they had a reputation for top notch men’s suits in cut and fabric. I haven’t shopped there in years but after learning about the company I have a new respect for them.

I’ve been pleasantly suprised by JCP… They’ve changed their ad company, revamped some stores and are moving into the 21st century.. I’m definitely putting them back on my shopping list. That animal print slip dress is brilliant.

JCP has some fantastic fashions at way affordable prices. I’ve been buying there for several years.  I got a Nicole Miller outfit there that was right off the runway and paid about $75 for the 3 pieces. I took 2 unbelieving very fashion conscious girlfriends there over this past weekend and they snatched up everything in sight.  We even got 2 beautiful ankle length Bisou Bisou denim skirts for $23 each because they had on BOGO for a penny sale going on!!! JCP is the bomb!
