What I Love This Week: Feminista, Intelligent Nutrients, New Power Girls, American Express Charity G

November 21, 2009 11:22 AM | Comments (0) | Posted in Fashion+Beauty

This has been a week of departures- our beloved Oprah, Paris Hilton’s removal from “It Girl” status, the plus sized Real Housewives of Orange County lady- so I’m happy to write about positive thoughts. Here’s what I’m lovin’ this week.

1. Books: Feminista by Erica Kennedy. Sometimes you just need to escape and since most of us can’t afford a luxury Caribbean vacation, Erica Kennedy’s fun new book Feminista is a great alternative. November 12, 2009 08:00 AM | Comments (1) | Posted in Fashion+Beauty

We’re seeing fur everywhere this fall/winter — from the runways of NYC fashion week to the aisles of Tarjay (a.k.a Target). There’s many reasons why you might not want to wear a real fur: you’re allergic to animal hair, you’re broke and it’s not a good idea to spend your unemployment check on a floor length fox coat or you’re a member of PETA and the thought of wearing fur gives you the creeps. Ok, we get that and thanks to faux fur there is very little to stress about. Faux furs are warm, animal friendly, and significantly cheaper than say, a real mink coat.

Now, before you go out ...
