a dot of over the counter hydrocortisone cream should take care of it, just don’t apply if the bite is infected already by too much scratching. If it is infected, put on a drop of tea tree oil THEN some cortisone cream.
I usually make Calomine lotion available at all time at my home . But if its not available, I just put little bit of toothpaste smeared over the bite to stop the itchy feeling. I do not know what are the chemical in toothpaste that stop the itchy, but its work!
I’m a fan of Burt’s Bees products. They have a product called Bug Bite Relief. I got it after getting eaten alive by mosquitoes in my parents’ back yard over the summer. After applying this to all the bites the itching and redness were gone in such a short time. I also love that it comes in a stick instead of a cream in a tube.
