The Budget Fashionista

We’re all about budget beauty here, and I’m a firm believer that you can achieve high standards of beauty and healthy skin/hair/nail care for less. Personally, I’ve rarely tried any high-end products (and when I have, it’s usually because somebody gave them to me) and don’t feel I need to, but maybe I’m missing something. So, is there a high-end beauty product that even you budget fashionistas can’t live without?

I’m a Mary Kay Beauty Consultant, so I started using the MK products, and for me, those are high end, even though they’re not expensive. But the MK lip balm with SPF 15 is the greatest. I can apply lip gloss over it and the gloss actually lasts for hours.

There is one eyeshadow shade from MAC that I’ve bought over and over again throughout the years—it’s called Sable and it’s just the perfect shade for me. I can’t get rid of my addiction to it.

I can not live without Chanel’s Inimitable Mascara! It is fabulous and should be for the price!

Urban Decay Primer Potion and MAC Paint Pots.  I was never really big on wearing eyeshadows until I discovered these two products.  Typically people use one or the other as a base but I use them both together and it keeps my shadows on and strong all day.  I’m talking early morning until late at night.  Love it and will never wear shadow without them again!

Okay twoi things:

Giogorio Armani Foundation- it’s my “magic” potion and a bottle last about 3 to 4 months
Tweezerman tweezer- Which actually saves me quite a bit of dough caus I can tweezemy own eyebrows, so I spend less on getting them professionally done.

I don’t know if you would consider this high end or not but definitely not sold at a wal-mart or target beauty isle. But I just HAVE to have my Clinique 3 step. So I get the mild face soap, astrigent and moisturizer from Clinique. I’ve tried most other brands from target and wal-mart but they usually make my skin rash. Other than Cetaphil, which I like, most have perfume and ingredients I’m allergic to. Plus I like all the free samples I get when I go to Clinique.

However I do love my Elizabeth Arden lipstick, in that breathless shade.
