See Jack Shop recently had a contest for a watch. The winner explained that his signature piece isn’t clothing at all—it’s fragrance. That got me wondering—how important is perfume and fragrance in your daily routine? What are your favorites? I know women who don’t put on any fragrance except for deodorant, and I know others who douse themselves in perfume. I’m in the middle—I put perfume on my wrists and neck, but only a little bit. What about you all?

I like Issey Miyake for daytime. On very formal or sexy dress-up days, I like Hugo Boss Deep Red.
But I’m totally craving Missoni, but I’ve been good and not bought it. I did get a nice sampler from the Nordstrom lady though.

I am on the “no fragrance” end of the spectrum—I’ve tried to wear perfumes, but always feel like it’s “too much” somehow. On the rare occasion that I have worn fragrance, it’s been a simple perfume oil (lilac, orange blossom), and then very sparingly. I enjoy fragrance on others, but just never comfortable with it for myself for some reason!

I love perfumes. I buy one and I can’t help but find another one I want to buy a few weeks or months later!
I really like Nanette Lepore Shanghai Butterfly! It’s a very light, subtle fragrance - a mix of soft citrus and sandalwood. I usually spray perfume on the middle of my chest and my neck. Sometimes on my clothes when I’m in a hurry and I want to smell good. I don’t think people notice the smell, though. They never really comment. I doubt that they think the smell is foul because someone would’ve said something like, “What is that AWFUL smell?” by now.
I’m going to try AVON Haiku, next.

I love perfume’s on other people. But my new luxury has become bath products from “LUSH” and they have a massage bar that I just love ..Fever. I also comes in a solid perfume if I don’t use the massage bar after my bath (which is rare). I’m addicted. Frankly it is pricey, but I find if you keep your bars in their containers, in the frig, and out of the heat (natural products), they can last you quite a while. Next to shoes…. “LUSH” is my new addiction.

I’m definitely a fragrance girl. In fact, perfume would be my “desert island” beauty product. I like to switch it up semi-regularly, and I will admit, I splurge on fragrance. but I feel a good fragrance wears well throughout the day, isn’t generally something that you run through quickly and is definitely a mood booster!
Current favorites? Narciso Rodriguez for her (a heavier woody floral that I normally would avoid, but the day I tried some on, several people stopped me and asked what I was wearing—it’s sexy without being completely in your face), Sarah Jessica Parker’s Lovely (which is, just like its name, utterly lovely), Burberry Summer (fresh clean and the PERFECT light fragrance) and Dior J’adore (pretty feminine and floral—what I wear when I want to be girly). I also keep some Victoria Secret Lovespell body splash in my gym bag. It’s such a distinctive scent that I can’t wear everyday (too fruity!) but I do love it after 45 minutes on the treadmill.

I feel like I’m not fully ready to go out the door until I’ve put on a perfume. My favorite is Victoria’s Secret Garden Vanilla Lace. It last all day and is sweet and sexy at the same time. Plus VS always has great deals on their Secret Garden line of products (usually 3 for $24 or 5 for $30).

My favorite perfume is “Today” sold by Avon. I got it when it was on sale at 2/$30. I have received nothing
but comments on this perfume. When you think the smell is gone it’s still there.
It has a light, floral smell.

Here is my favorite trick:
Take a few drops of lavender or jasmine oil and mix it into your hair products. It is a fast way to incorporate scent into your routine and isn’t too expensive.

I love perfums and I change them frequently. At the moment my favourite is the Kenzoki relaxant with whit lotus - it just smells phenomenal!

I love scent! I tend to stick with a single scent for a time—went through a Chanel 5 glamour phase, a clean CK One phase. Currently, I have been in love with the Heavenly line from VS. I stocked up big time during their semi-annual sale—everything from glimmer sprays to luxe lotions!! I will go through short phases of lavendar essential oil on pulse points, but it’s more for me to relax than to have a seductive smell. I loathe the generic-smells-like-rotten-fruit odor that comes with many deodorants, sprays and lotions.

I have to agree with an earlier post, I adore LUSH as well. I use the amazonian bath bar after the shower and it is fragrant enough to be my fragrance as well. However, the fragrance I am obsessed with is Vicktor and Rolff Flowerbomb. It has a sweet and musky scent all in one. There are hints of patchouli, which I never thought I would like, but I love this perfume. Sadly, it is ridiculously expensive and I can’t afford to wear it everyday, as much as I would like too. I have found that the Bath and Body Works Sensual Amber line is similar and I use this for everyday wear.

A friend of mine made patchouli and lavendar soy candle candle for me. That changed my opinion about patchouli-the lavendar mellowed the strong patchouli and made it softer.

Yeah, it’s funny, I never thought I would wear anything remotly patchouli, but I guess I was wrong. I love the complexity of the scent of the perfume. I guess I might be converted??

I have found a new perfume that I wanted to share with everyone. It is very inexpensive ($30) and I have gotten so many compliments! It is made by TokyoMilk. They carry an array of scents. The one that I have is called Song in D minor and seriously I’m in love with love it. For $30 vs. $60-$80, which I usually spend on perfume, this is a great deal! Check it out.
