Okay, the fashion world is abuzz, as expected, over the new Sex and the City movie . . . and we love checking out the outrageous duds as much as the next girl. But is there real “trend” value to SATC, in terms of real life wearability? We’re thinking, of course, of Carrie’s flowers from the series, which definitely made a real life style impact (if in a more subtle way). But what do you think—can you make SATC style work in real life—and if so, any tips?

In Bradley Bayou’s book The Science of Sexy, he has a quiz to figure out what kind of sexy style you’re looking for, and one of his questions is about SATC. You’re asked to choose which character’s sexiness you relate to the most (something like that- I don’t have the book handy right now). I relate the most to Charlotte. It’s tricky, but it might help to choose a character and use that character as inspiration.

I think that the Sex in the City looks are practical as long as they become mainstream.  Just for the simple fact that the outfits will be more affordable.
