So I saw a girl in the Peets Coffee today who was carrying a Juicy Couture purse. I know it was a Juicy Couture purse because she had the brand tag, that hangs on the keychain around the handle that’s there when you buy it, prominently displayed. Is it just me or was that incredibly gauche? I would have thought it to be classier to take that tag off. (It reminds me of Minnie Pearl’s hat with the price tag hanging off it - OMG my age is showing...)

Anyways - maybe I’m just missing something here. What do you folks think?

I don’t like anything with an obvious name or logo on it. To me, it looks like someone is trying too hard. I will say that a brand tag isn’t half as bad as when the logo is displayed across the bag.

I’m the opposite. To me, the logo or name that’s unremovable doesn’t bother me nearly as much leaving on the removable tag that has the name on it. But I may be totally missing something here.

So is this the norm? Do people normally leave the big leather tags with the name of the product clearly displayed? Is that fashionable now? Maybe I’m just out of the times…
