Shoe dilemma

I have a gorgeous pair of shoes. They’re D’orsay pumps in light tan with a pointed toe and a midheight thin (but not too thin) heel. The problem is that they have no cushioning inside, so they’re hard to wear and leave my feet hurting after a couple of hours. However, adding cushion insoles makes the shoes too snug (they still fit, but they hurt after a short while).

Is there any way to salvage these shoes? The store where I bought them was going out of business, so returning them isn’t an option. If there’s any way to make them wearable, I’d rather not get rid of them.
