I’m sure this has been discussed before, but what is with the crotches on Old Navy Jeans?

I’m in between a size 10 and 12 these days. I bought myself a pair of size 12 sweetheart jeans to fit my rear end/hips. I figured the waist would be a bit large, but I could get it taken-in. I don’t really have money to do it, but I am desperate for jeans that actually fit.

I got the jeans home (I tried on like 6 pairs so perhaps I forgot to try these ) and the crotch could cover a small country. I can’t tell if it will improve when the tailor takes-in the waist or not.

Yeah, this is an ongoing problem with Old Navy jeans—that and the fact that their sizing is all over the place. I’ve tried on two different pairs of the same size/style jeans and had them fit differently.  I have a pair of old navy jeans that fit pretty good in the waist AND rear, and still have that weird crotch issue. And then again, I have another pair that fit all over and DON’T have that problem.

My guess, however, is that the waist adjustment won’t make a difference. I’d suggest either exchanging them for a different cut altogether, or getting your money back and continue the search. JCPenney, incidentally, has some decent Arizona jeans for reasonable prices—not sure if the cuts will work for you, but it might be worth a shot.

I haven’t been able to get a good fit at Old Navy ever.
The last two pairs of jeans that I bought have been made to measure by make your own jeans.com.  The only problem now is that I’m a full size smaller, and now have to get the jeans taken in. But what I like is that when I got them, I didn’t have any of those uncomfortable inseam issues.

I’m with bellechic--I’ve never had luck with Old Navy jeans, but the Mossimo Black labels are pretty good.
