The Budget Fashionista

Okay, I know in many places Spring has only just sprung, but summer is fast approaching—which has me thinking about summer wardrobe staples. For me, I must have a nice pair of flip flops (NOT the rubber kind), some wedge sandals, plaid bermudas, an assortment of pretty halters, and a light flowy black everyday skirt.

So summer wardrobe must-haves will you be picking up in the weeks to come?

I bought 2 cute knee length jean skirts that fit really well. One is a straight line and shows off my hips in a good way and the other is slightly flaired. I also bought some cute tanks in different colors to wear with them and a lightweight sweater that goes with all of the tanks to cover my arms at work. I found them at Ross and spent about 50.00 total for all.

i like a nice pair of espadrilles and a pretty bright sundress to start off my spring season...plus some other color popping accessories like a turquoise neckalce or earrings

According to most fashion gurus, I shouldn’t be wearing open shoes because my feet aren’t pretty, but I love a great pair of slides or thongs, as long as they’re comfortable.

I also love summer’s bright-colored earrings.

Here’s my summer wardrobe:
1 pair khaki shorts, 1 pair khaki capris, 1 pair white shorts, 1 pair each of khaki and white ankle length slim pants.
For tops, I have lots of colorful tee shirts from either Target or Old Navy. And some tank tops. I wear flip flops (cheapos) and I have one pair brown, 1 pair black 1 pair light tan/neutral wedge sandals.

I also wear dresses with sweaters when I have to dress up a bit more. (even to work). And I have my jackets if I really need to do the suit thing. I also have a pair each of light gray, cream, and white pants.

I sometimes mix in the more formal stuff from other seasons, as most of my stuff can work most of the year.

And sunblock...I am fair and burn like crazee!
