It’s too easy to fall prey to super sales and end-of-season clearances, when prices are slashed and discounts are deep. But be realistic. That tangerine bubble skirt you bought last summer for $15? It’s still in your closet with the tags on it, isn’t it? Here’s the real deal: If you love something enough to consider paying full price for it, then it’s a bargain when you snag it on sale.

well, you can also go to the stores the day before the sale to check out their prices and what they have that you would want to go back for on a sale. on the day of the sale, you can find directly the ones that you like without the hassle of rummaging through racks.

I’ve heard this definition of a “good deal” before, and I generally agree, but here’s the thing: I think something’s truly a good deal if I normally wouldn’t be able to afford it, but it’s definitely buyable on sale. (AND if I’m actually going to wear it.) In this case, I wouldn’t consider paying full price for the item (I couldn’t pay full price), but that doesn’t mean it’s any less of a deal.

And that’s a good suggestion, curlytop - I’ll have to remember that!
