I was doing my taxes the other day (fun times, I know you’re all jealous!), and instead of tallying up my deductions, I took the automatic deduction (a little over $5,000, I believe), like I always do.
From reading other posts, it looks like a number of us donate to Goodwill. Is it worth it to total up your donations for tax purposes? Does anyone do this? I always assumed I didn’t donate enough to make it worth totaling it up (there is a very, very small chance it would amount to more than $5,000 anyway), but I’m curious to see what everyone else does. I am far from a tax expert, and can use all the advice I can get!
