I’m loving the color this spring, and looking at beauty trends, it seems that color isn’t just for the clothes. Primary colors for lids, berry lips, blushing cheeks . . . it’s all there. I tend to be in a makeup rut most of the time, but I’m thinking the berry lips just might break me out this year . . . what beauty trend (makeup or otherwise) are you dying to try?

I love the whole bronze skin look, its very chic… I also like the creamy pink stained lips and the berry stain. I also love it because with bronzer, a nice pink and red lipstick I can look very current! Using a lipstick as a stain is very easy, with application of lipstick and blotting. Repeat a couple times for a stain that lasts a couple hours.

at the end of the day, we must be happy with who we are. not on the surface, but deep within. <3

Just for the record, Robin, our fabulous beauty writer, recommends Revlon Super Lustrous Lip Gloss in pearl plum ($8) in this post on the trend: http://www.thebudgetfashionista.com/archive/berry-delicious-lips-2008-beauty-trend1/

i don’t know why but there are some lipsticks from revlon that doesn’t cause my lips to chap while there are others that does! for example, my lips are ok with super lustrous shiny sheers but chaps with lipglide. =( maybe it’s in the ingredients or something.

Hair color and stye. I recently had the hairdresser toss highlights in and shorten it by about 3 inches. It’s a great look for spring and summer—might lighter and it looks great. Goes with all those yellows and florals I’m buying off the rack.
I also love the colored lip balms!

This spring I am going to try something totally different.  I am going to go with brighter colors like yellows, oranges, etc… ( I don’t think I have ever owned these colors.)  Also I am going to get a new hair style and color.  Also out with all the old makeup and in with the new.  I have alot that needs to be replaced and I am going to try some new shades this year.
