Skin Care:
Morning cleansing: Aveeno anti redness cleanser in the shower, plus clinique liquid mild facial soap for sensitive skin by the sink.

Olay daily facials for dry sensitive skin and Neutrogena wipes in the blue pack for makeup removeal and cleansing in the evening. I’m trying the Olay ones, they are cheaper than the Neutrogena, but I’ll go back to Neutrogena if they aren’t as good. the Neutrogena one is marvellous.

Clinique toner, the mild clarifying lotion for sensitive skin. Twice a day. It has a bit of beta hydroxy in it, plus no alcohol and a bit of moisturizer.

Olay regenerist serum followed by Olay Regenerist lotion with SPF for daytime

Olay regenerist night cream with exfoliant or Olay Total Effects with the beta hydroxy alternating as night creams.

Avon beyond colour lip plumping lip conditioner. Love this stuff, and it works well without irritation.

Makeup:

Foundation--- I am currently using Revlon’s age defying foundation which is good, but I’ve tried Almays new colour adjusting one and prefer it a bit more. When this runs out I’ll switch. I like something to smooth out the uneven tones and redness that comes with being over 50. I detest anything that looks caked on. I have cliniques anti age one but it goes on too cakey.

Eyebrow powder-- I’m using a brow brush and Physician’s formula quad eyeshadow as brow powder. No eyeshadow usually. I use one of the medium shades to fill in and I keep the strays plucked so the brows are neat and tidy and frame the face nicely.

No blush--no need

Lipstick--Elizabeth Arden’s Exceptional lipstick in Breathless--it’s a good pinky peachy nude.

Mascara--Clinique Hi Impact but but I’m fortunate to have long dark lashes even though my eyebrows have gone missing in action so only if I feel like it..

I would like to find an eyeliner that I can smudge as I apply it, that would set firmly and stay all day instead of transferring to my upper eyelid area. I have slightly hooded eyelids. It’s annoying.

I have a mountain of products, but I find that I really only use these ones:

the Target knockoff of Cetaphil-- I think it is just as good.
Oil of Olay moisturizer spf 15 (day)
Boots balancing moisturizer (night)
Boots face primer-- Not a huge fan, because if you use too much, it gets flaky, but it does help control the oil.
L’Oreal True Match liquid foundation
Rimmel concealer stick (for blemishes)
Neutrogena Undereye Concealer
Maybelline Find-a-Lash mascara-- Love the tiny brush, -or-
Cover Girl Lash Blast-- I like the results, but too much product comes out at once, and it also has flaked off and adhered to my contact lenses- ouch.
Rimmel eyeliner in black, brown, green, purple-- I like the “self-sharpening” ones.

skincare: Cetaphil cleanser (love it love it love it),
Clinique Clarifying Lotion (ok, toner) 2 (I used the 3-step for awhile and have since stopped, but I do like their toner--it keeps my skin glowy and healthy looking),
L’Oreal Skin Genesis Serum (I may be a little young for anti-aging treatments but it does even out my skintone)
Aveeno positively radiant moisturizer with spf 30.
I usually throw on a little Neutrogena sunscreen (spf 55) and some Clinique All About Eyes (helps tremendously with the dark circles).
At night I throw on some Olay Definity and Persagel on the rare occasion I have a pimple.

as for makeup? I change it up all the time but my absolute favorite items are:
Neutrogena Healthy Skin Enhancer for days I don’t want to put on a ton of make-up, bare escentuels bareMinerals for every other day.
Neutrogena Healthy Skin loose powder
True Match concealer (works on blemishes AND dark circles--love it!)
Maybelline mineral blush in original rose (it has a nice luminous sheen to it that makes you look healthy, not shiny)
NARS blush in Orgasm (oh my, I love love love love this blush. It’s pricey but lasts forever and is flattering on everyone)
Neutrogena nourishing eyeshadow in Iced Coffee (pretty and natural)
Stila eyeshadow palette in Red Carpet (perfect for a smokey eye)
Lancome Definicils mascara (best. mascara. EVER)
Jane mineral lipbalm in white pearl
Clinique Almost Lipstick in Black Honey
Lancome Fever lipgloss in Bountiful

Skincare:

Clean & Clear Blackhead Eraser - This works pretty well for how much it was worth. My blackheads are definitely less visible.
Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash - Works fantastically in conjunction with Clean & Clear’s Advantage Spot Treatment. Takes a while for results to show.
Clean & Clear Advantage Spot Treatment - Stings if put on open pimples, but other than that it’s great. Smells good, too.
Clean & Clear Oil-free Moisturizer SPF 15 - Eh. I don’t like the smell (a powdery fragrance), but it was cheap…

Make-up:

NARS Lipstick in Barbarella - This is such a nice, peachy shade. It really makes my lips pop. It goes on smooth, as well.
Smashbox Eyeshadow Pot in Blackout - It’s not really black when you put it on and there’s no shimmer, which I like since I hate glitter. It comes out as a dark gray shade.
Benefit “That Gal” Brightening Face Primer - This really makes your skin glow. It’s not stick or heavy at all.

Love this topic!  I’m obsessed with Bobbi Brown cosmetics, sadly, they carry a heavy price tag.  Right now I’m loving most the Bobbi Brown Shimmer brick in Peony, the under eye brightener and the foundation stick.  Also, found the perfect mascara at Lancome, truly, ended my quest.

As far as facial cleanser and body wash, lotion, etc.  I’m very happy with all Aveeno products.  The Daily Brightener line of face wash and lotion and the lavendar stress relief body wash and lotion.  love it.
