Skin Care:
Morning cleansing: Aveeno anti redness cleanser in the shower, plus clinique liquid mild facial soap for sensitive skin by the sink.
Olay daily facials for dry sensitive skin and Neutrogena wipes in the blue pack for makeup removeal and cleansing in the evening. I’m trying the Olay ones, they are cheaper than the Neutrogena, but I’ll go back to Neutrogena if they aren’t as good. the Neutrogena one is marvellous.
Clinique toner, the mild clarifying lotion for sensitive skin. Twice a day. It has a bit of beta hydroxy in it, plus no alcohol and a bit of moisturizer.
Olay regenerist serum followed by Olay Regenerist lotion with SPF for daytime
Olay regenerist night cream with exfoliant or Olay Total Effects with the beta hydroxy alternating as night creams.
Avon beyond colour lip plumping lip conditioner. Love this stuff, and it works well without irritation.
Makeup:
Foundation--- I am currently using Revlon’s age defying foundation which is good, but I’ve tried Almays new colour adjusting one and prefer it a bit more. When this runs out I’ll switch. I like something to smooth out the uneven tones and redness that comes with being over 50. I detest anything that looks caked on. I have cliniques anti age one but it goes on too cakey.
Eyebrow powder-- I’m using a brow brush and Physician’s formula quad eyeshadow as brow powder. No eyeshadow usually. I use one of the medium shades to fill in and I keep the strays plucked so the brows are neat and tidy and frame the face nicely.
No blush--no need
Lipstick--Elizabeth Arden’s Exceptional lipstick in Breathless--it’s a good pinky peachy nude.
Mascara--Clinique Hi Impact but but I’m fortunate to have long dark lashes even though my eyebrows have gone missing in action so only if I feel like it..
I would like to find an eyeliner that I can smudge as I apply it, that would set firmly and stay all day instead of transferring to my upper eyelid area. I have slightly hooded eyelids. It’s annoying.
