I love seeing what other people use for makeup and skincare, because I really get to see what works for other people. I found many of my favorites from review centres and what was highly rated. Its a bit like a roundtable and its always really fun.

Juice Organics Brightening Cleanser (used when I haven’t worn makeup that day) - will repurchase
Juice Organics Nourishing Cleanser (to remove makeup) - will repurchase
Tea Tree Oil with water (overall toner) - love love love it
Kinesys SPF 30 Oil Free Sunscreen, liquid (great for my oily skin)

True Match Foundation + L’Oreal Transformance moisturizer (on trouble areas) - not so hot about True Match, but love transformance
True Match Foundation (on problem spots)
Physicians Formula Mineral Wear Loose Powder - I LOVE THIS!!!!!
Tarte “we wish you happiness” cheekstain set - LOVE IT! I hate powder blush and the cost of this.
Cargo The Medium Bronzer- I like it, but will look into drugstore options

Maybelline Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner black- hate the wand, I use L’Oreals wand with this formulation
Revlon Liquid Eyeliner Brown - I like it
L’Oreal Line Intensifique - LOVE IT!
Smashbox eye and cheek palette from ulta - the pale beige and yellow shadows make my eyes pop!
Maybelline Full N’ Soft - makes your lashes like its name

Sally Hansen Diamond Lip Treatment in Princess Pink - lightly plumps + shimmer and gloss makes them look huge (LOVE)
Covergirl Incredifull - hate the colors, love the plumping
Aveeno lipbalm
Smackers lipbalm in Dr. Pepper - overtop vaseline and underneath my diamond lip, this is a sheer juicy and sparkly hue

wait…. I also have a tiny sample of Estee Lauder’s Projectionist mascara, I’m making it work… But ew god its so gross and clumpy. A tissue wipe and all the clump is gone. :)
Smashbox thats a wrap mascara, i think its name is, is really lovely, but not worth the price.
The smashbox eye and cheek palette and mascara are gifts. Really awesome gift giver <3
these two I won’t be repurchasing.
I also got ACV to be used as a toner when mixed with water, a blemish treatment when mixed with Tea tree oil, and an exfoliating mask when mixed with youghurt. Really excited to see how all of it goes.

Hi Beemcee—

Here’s what I’m using (it would take pages to list what I actually have :)  ):

Clinique eyeliner in coffee—was given to me from a relative’s freebie bag, and I love it!

Mabelline XXL mascara (waterproof)—actually lengthens and makes ‘em look a little thicker

Sonia Kashuk minerals foundation/concealer—my favorite thing in the whole world . . . well, nearly!

Artistry lip polish and lip conditioner—wouldn’t normally spend $22 (!) on something like this, but both products work great and the conditioner doubles as a gloss

I’ve said this a million times, but Pond’s Mend and Defend SPF 15 facial moisturizer—great stuff.
Oil of Olay Regenerist face scrub
vaseline
Boots Balm

-Mary Kay Cleanser, Moisturizer with spf 15, day and night solution.
-Mary Kay foundation Beige 304
-Mary Kay Charcoal or steely Eyeliner (depends on my mood)
-Mary Kay Waterproof Mascara Black
-Mary Kay eyeshadow, blush and bronzer
-Mary Kay lipliner Metallic
-Prestige Vinylwear High Shine Lipgloss in Lush or Mary Kay lipstick in a variety of colors depending in the mood.

I have started trying Artistry and I like the moisturizer.  I am just not that keen on the cleanser.  I don’t get that same clean feeling as I do with Mary Kay.  But the moisturizer is killer.

Oh I also have to use hypoallergenic moisturisers ....my dermatologist recommended Cetaphil lotion/ cream which won’t cause breakouts because it is non pore clogging…..and I use various undereye creams. Simple things work quite well

i used cetaphil facial wash before i went to a dermatologist. it caused me to break out more. i don’t know why. but it all ended after i went to the doctor.

Oh really? what did the doctor recommend afterwards. I’m so acne-prone that I am on special contraceptive pills which have antiandrogens and that really works

It is expensive but I have become accustom to it.  I use to be a MK rep but realized that I am not much of a salesperson.  Back then I could get my own supply for 50% of the retail value, so then it wasn’t that bad.  Once this supply is gone I may have to go back to using a different brand.

I just want to say, that I have read that “hypo-allergenic” apparently is just a marketing term. I hope no one takes offence.

If anything that should be in your interest is not having the wrong ingredients in your skincare and makeup. Parabens, phthalates, alchohol (usually petrochemical-derived), petroleum-derived products such as mineral oil or petroleum jelly, animal by-products, artificial fragrances and colors should not be in your products, especially Laureth Sulfates in cleansers (they are practically ubiquitous).

Making you react harshly in breakouts and rashes are the least of the worst these toxins can do. A cleanser without laureth sulfates and parabens will do better for your skin than a “hypo-allergenic” sticker. I’m searching long and hard for fairly inexpensive and non-toxic face makeup. Juice Organics and Desert Essence have saved my butt skincare-wise. :) I hope that aveda and Origins yield results - hopefully I’ll be able to cut my losses by hustling samples from them. lol

I’m a Mary Kay Beauty Consultant, so I started using the MK products, and I LOVE them.

I used to love Cover Girl eyeshadow in Hazelnut, but they discontinued that color, and I couldn’t find anything even close until I got into Mary Kay. I found the Double Espresso eyeshadow duo, and it is just as good as the old CG shadow.

Plus, I discovered two MK lipglosses that look amazingly natural and actually stay on well, especially when worn over MK SPF 15 lip balm.

What I use

Tarte blush
Cargo bronzer

The double-ended almay liner that got discontinued,
it had a highlighter side and a definer side
got it at big lots :)
soft pink-white & brown

Urban Decay eyeliner in Zero - no smudges!
Nars Eyeliner in Kaliste - the most beautiful teal-green shade that makes my eyes pop, but honestly way too expensive
Eyeshadow freebie from Estee Lauder with a really beautiful white-champagne shade, Tea Biscuit
