Okay, we’re all still mourning the news of Mizrahi’s departure—but once the dust has settled, what designer would you like see find a permanent home at Target? I’m kind of rooting for Marc Jacobs for sheer wearability (and Kathryn has thrown Michael Kors’ and Ralph Lauren’s names into the ring, too)—but who would your pick be?

Michael Kors is my pick.. He would be pick for several reason:

1. He’s a classic american designer known for his clean styles
2. he has a charismatic personality like IM
3. He’s already known to masses from his work on Project Runway

I am thinking it will be a designer without an existing diffusion line.  Maybe Zac Posen?  He has already done the Aussie Target…..

I’d vote for Patrick Robinson. His Go International collab line was one of the best selling and well made lines featured by Target. (Oh, and how cute were those tags!) He understands classic cuts as well as fit. He also has mass production experience since he has worked with Gap Inc.
I don’t see Michael Kors or Marc Jacobs participating since they already have more affordable lines available (Michael and MBMJ).
