What are your favorite drugstore/ grocery store items?

From the drugstore
-definitely physicians formula mineral wear loose powder - its like concealer in powder form
-Any NYC/Wet n Wild lipgloss - cheap, shiny and sheer, they are winners in my book
-dark red lipstick and lip balm for a nice sheer cream blush
-burts bees lip balm
-Spectro Jel
-Maybelline Full N' Soft Mascara
- Physicians Formula Shimmer Strips bronzer

From the grocery store :
Tea tree oil - In my shampoo alternative, on blemishes, for dandruff
Almond oil - Hand, neck and body moisturizer
Sea salt/ Baking soda - In my shampoo alternative, in body and foot scrubs
Sugar - in facial scrubs
Clay from the indian store - for blemishes (lasts a long time)
Green tea - a great steam facial, in my shampoo alternative and with clay for a blemish mask, and as a great internally taken beauty aid

I hate to admit it but I buy almost all my eye and lip liners from beauty supply stores.

I like NYC nail polishes. They are surprisingly good and come in funky colors.

Witch hazel makes a good toner. Unfortunately the drugstore only had one size of bottle in stock when I bought it. Not only will this bottle last my entire lifetime, my grandchildren may inherit it.

Maybelline Shiny-licious gloss. I think the color I wear is called Sugar Plum.

Neutrogena Acne Wash and their moisturizer with SPF.

Every mascara I love at a drugstore gets discontinued by the manufacturer about three months later. I've given up.

You should definitely try Full N' Soft by Maybelline… Whenever I buy a TM or a brush from the dept. store, I usually buy during some sort of offer, usually with mascara, lipstick and a small thing of cream… So sometimes I don't buy mascara… lool

I like lemon juice for toner… Its a fave….

I forgot about my faithful Carmax for my lips. I have some of the worst lips on earth. I have to work hard at keeping them decent.

I recently ran out of cotton make-up squares the other day and bought Safeway Brand Premium Cotton Rounds for $2.99 or maybe $3.99 and found them SUPERIOR to others I have bought from Ulta or Target. THESE did not shred and are very soft.

And yeah…Carmex is THE BEST.

I have also recently been using Dr.Scholl's Foot Softening Balm with Shea Butter and Dr. Scholl's Foot Scrub which I got on sale at my local drug store and find them (again) to be superior to products I bought at Ulta.

My absolute favorite used to be the Revon Skinlights line.  Boy was I mad when they discontinued that.

These days I love…

-OPI polish (lincoln park after dark or lincoln park after midnight)
-Covergirl Advanced Radiance moisturizing makeup
-Covergirl TruBlend loose powder with minerals (ok replacement for the Revlon products they discontinued)
-LOreal Colour juice lipgloss

I know theres a ton more but these are things I buy on a regular basis.

I love PF’s loose powder and Maybelline’s full n soft too!
<3
I really like Cover girls Incredifull lipstick for the plumping action, as my tiny lips need all the help they can get. lol
Rimmel khol eyeliner
Revlon/ L’Oreal liquid eyeliner
Juice Organics cleansers (organic and 10 bucks! I love myself some of that” top 6 ingredients are eco friendly and organic” action)

I also love shopping Marshalls for beauty deals, such as the stuff at the Clearance section, uber cheap and usually expensive stuff. I even saw some Darphin eye and lip cream, for 14.99, down from the uber-expensive sky high prices. I got some pimple taming Elizabeth Arden Deep Cleansing Mask for 5.99 down from 15.00, not a great deal but 10 bucks saved is pretty awesome. :)
Better deals include Juice Organics Green Apple Peel Mask for 2.00 down from 20.99! (love)

lol, me tooo :)
I hate paying for mascara, usually I buy some sorta kit like the smashbox kit at ulta with the photofinish primer that pays for itself… They always come with some mascara, that I use for like 4 months (I know, shame on me :P)...

Epsom Salts for soaking my feet for at home pedis can’t be beat.
I like Ulta’s single color shadows, particularly for trendier colors that I may wear only for a season or an event or two.  Cetaphil for washing my face, and the Boots facial wipes (found at Target - love the Boots line, they have great bath salts too) for quickie clean ups.  I’m also a fan of those single packet masks.  Chicago weather can be really mecurial, and being able to pick and choose if I need deep cleansing or moisturizing without cluttering my cabinets with more stuff is a fantastic alternative.

I also like Cover Girl’s new mascara in the fat orange tube (i think Drew Barrymore is their spokesperson for the product); sorry I can’t rember it’s name.

Edit:  I forgot to include Clean and Clear’s Persagel for spot treating acne.  Works like a dream.

Pond’s Mend and Defend facial moisturizer—I don’t think I could make it through this winter without it.

Dove Cucumber Green Tea Shampoo and Conditioner—perfect for my thin, fine hair

Sonia Kashuk mineral makeup trio at Target—I’ll never go back to liquid foundation. Ever.

St. Ives apricot face scrub. It does a better job than any of the expensive ones. I use it 3 times a week.

I’m still a Mary Kay girl, and I find that their things are better than anything I’ve ever used before.

However, I use Garnier Fructis color shield conditioner and spray gel for curls, and those are wonderful. I also use either Garnier Nutrisse or Clairol Natural Instincts for color, and I love those too.

My favorites are NYC nail polishes and Nailene nails. I always like to have something on my nails, i think they look funny bare. Nailene has all sorts of options for your nails. My favorite is there French Tip Pen Kit, I used it before my job interview last week- looked great.
