I agree with all of the fashion experts who say that every woman needs a suit in her wardrobe. A suit is a no-brainer for those occasions when you need to look professional, powerful, and authoritative. However, what’s the difference between a “real” suit vs. a jacket and coordinating bottom sold separately?
1) A “real” suit tends to cost much more than suit separates, so going with separates can often save a lot of money.
2) Suit separates allow for easier fit, especially if you wear different sizes on top and bottom. If that’s the case, then a “real” suit may need more alterations for fit, which will add to the price.
Not that there’s anything wrong with having a “real” suit, but separates are a great option. If you wear your suit separates with confidence, no one needs to know that you’re not wearing a “real” suit.
