I realized something this weekend - you can find some seriously killer deals at boutiques! Usually when I'm low on cash and want to buy clothes, they're the last places I look. But we were cruising through this cute little shopping area near where I live and I got sucked into a store. The clothes in the window were to DIE FOR, but of course I couldn't stomach the prices. But I beelined for the clearance section and had a hayday.

I ended up with three shirts and a skirt - all designer names for under $50. Everything had been marked down so many times, they were literally trying to get rid of it. What I was most stoked on was that the clothes I bought were of good quality, and even though they were summer clearance they were classic pieces I can wear for a long time and they weren't mass market products. I will definately go back to these stores now that I know you can get some good deals there, and hey, I had fun!

Also another cool thing was the woman who owned and ran the store was telling me everything she doesn't sell on clearance gets donated to a woman's shelter to help battered women find jobs, get them on their feet and give them the tools to do so. I don't believe I've heard of many big stores doing the same…
