Ok, I'm planning on buying a pair of white pants for winter. I know lots of people say white is for spring and summer, but I have a darling matte jersey purple sweater and adorable trapeze tee in purple and I think that white pants look fresh with a autumnal color top and can be pretty nice. Yay or nay?

this is what I'm planning to look out for :

the sweetheart classic rise skinny colored jeans in white…

I'm planning to wear them with chocolate-ish cognac slouch boots on top…

thanks in advance!

I say go for it! I like the color combinations. I think purple is another one of those hot colors (jewel tones) for the fall.

yes, it looks fresh and good. The old rule about no white after labour day and before Victoria’ Day (fall and spring to you below the 49th) is gone.

Black can be quite chic in the summer (although hot so be careful) and white in winter especially the creamy white called winter white in the winter.

Just be careful not to wear the pants on a rainy or slushy day as grey drops from the pavement can spatter up the back of the calf area as you walk.

The only problems I have with white are: 1) ivory looks better on me, and 2) white shows every speck of dirt, so it’s hard to keep it looking great. But the seasonal issue is no big deal with me. I think winter white is a fabulous neutral and it takes the doldrums out of winter. If it works for you, go for it. Just don’t wear white linen (unless you want to freeze).
