I came across this hysterical item on Paula Begoun's (http://www.cosmeticscop.com) site.
Anti-Cellulite Undergarments
From the what-will-they-think-of-next department comes the announcement in Paris of anti-cellulite undergarments. The "cosmeto-textile" undergarments, produced by France-based Onixxa and U.S.-based Invista, are said to contain microscopic anti-cellulite ingredients that break open and release their contents as the fabric rubs against your skin. What is in these garments? Plant extracts (including aloe) and lots of fragrance. It almost goes without saying that regardless of the delivery system or how long you wear the garment, these ingredients won't affect cellulite in any way. Even Fiona Paul, an Invista spokesperson, agrees, stating "This is all about well-being and emotions rather than providing a therapeutic benefit" (Source: http://www.reuters.com, February 6, 2007). Despite this, look for such products to hit the mainstream here, from such household brand names as Adidas, Nike, and L’Oreal. I wonder if the garments will be sold with a tip sheet recommending a healthy diet and exercise for best results?
I say BIG YUCK!
