Just because that dress (bag, shirt, or funky headband, etc) cost a lot of money, doesn’t mean that Target doesn’t have one that looks just as good. I don’t even want to know what the gals from “The Hills” spend on their wardrobes every month (since it would probably buy 3 of my cars), but I do know that their outfits don’t always appear more expensive than what I can find on the glorious racks of H&M;, Target, and occasionally even Wal-Mart. Bottom line for the budget: spend the most on the basics and save the trendy shopping for the cheap places. It’s an oldie but a goodie.

Because buying cheap products with

I couldn’t agree with you more.  I have lived by this theory for years and I think it’s dead on.  The classics that don’t go out of style I think are important to spend a little more money on, but for the trendy stuff, I just don’t make a big investment.

So many of “The Hills” girls dress badly. Heidi certainly spends a lot on what she wears, and I can’t see anything special about her clothes. Sure, her heels and bags are pricey, but the rest of her wardrobe might as well come from TJ Maxx. If it did, she might even look better!
