This thread is for anyone who comes across a fashion word or phrase and doesn’t understand it. I thought of it when I was talking about fashion consulting with a male friend who was talking about shoes he doesn’t like. He was confusing slides with clogs, and I had to explain the difference. I also had to explain what wedge shoes are.

Here’s my question: I adore “surplice” tops (mock wrap tops) because they give me a bust and a waist without being as cumbersome as regular wrap tops, but how do you pronounce “surplice”?

Your post is so informative but I’m quite confused
about it. Can you elaborate your post.
