The latest issue of People has a style piece on the new ripped up jean (skinny and tight, natch) -- how do you feel about ripped up jeans? Are they cool again? Or so over?

I totally love the look! It just depends how you're put together. I wouldn't wear a super classy top with ripped jeans but with the right top and accessories it works! I Love the way Kate Beckinsale is put together in that pic!

I also love the ripped jeans look. Like it was stated earlier it is all about how you wear them. If an outfit is not over done it can be super cute. So just wear what you like and just be you.

I will not be diving into this trend, as I had enjoyed it when I was younger...my personal rule is "If I wore a trend as a child or young adult, it's usually best not to wear it again". It's not a hard and fast rule, just a guide. I will leave this one to the younger gals with great legs!

I agree with Jenn. Although my gams are nothing to laugh at, I think a trend should be left to the young who can actually recover from it. I have a box full of "OMG, did I really wear that" pictures. Afterall, my parents dressed me in bell bottoms. I will stick with classics... I've earned it.

I would say nay.

It is a trend that may look good on the tweenager set, but I want a nice enough pair of jeans to wear to work on casual fridays.

I would definitely say nay. In my opinion ripped up jeans are out of fashion. Besides this I think that ripped up jeans are just suitable for women who are in their twenties. I think some trends should not be revived. I even didn't liked the jeans when I was younger. Hope that this fashion trend is over soon.

More signs that the 80s are back again! Although I appreciate the leggings look coming back, having ripped jeans it too much already! Fashion has moved forward by looking more clean and professional.

I used to have an awesome pair of ripped jeans that I wore in 2005-- wish I still had them. They had a single rip in the knee and had the perfect amount of fraying.

I'm a fan of anything that makes you look good and is affordable, including ripped jeans. Mine were picked up at a bag sale in Cape Cod.

I like seeing ripped jeans paired on fit tops. It makes someone looks sexy in a ragged way ;)
