Are you a Black Friday devotee or do you stay away from all things retail on the day after Thanksgiving? I’m not a Black Friday shopper myself, but know many who are. Do you or don’t you, and if you do, any tips?

LOL - not just no, but HELL NO!  Black Friday is kind of like NYE after midnight…you don’t even want to venture out into the streets, period!  :)  I’m happy to stay home eating TG leftovers. 

Though I’ve really become a fan of the Cyber-Monday thing myself recently.  Even better if you can have them ship the goodies straight to Grandma’s house to open there!

I work overnights in a retail store accounting office. I’ll be working during the first two hours of Black Friday. I saw the Black Friday crowds for the first time last year and it’s nuts. I’ve never shopped the day after Thanksgiving. Besides, I got a surprise bill this month so my money will be a little tight for a couple weeks.

I prefer online shopping, because with it you can typically beat the early bird specials on Thanksgiving Eve. Many retailers begin to post their specials a couple of days early for you to take advantage of. In addition, there will be internet only specials you can take advantage of. I’m looking forward for Cyber Monday sales too this year.
