Hello.  I’m thinking about buying this dress for an office holiday party (yes, i know its a little early).  http://www.target.com/Isaac-Mizrahi-Target-Tailored-Plaid/dp/B0019J2U40/qid=1225071438/ref=br_1_6/176-8330635-1458233?ie=UTF8&node=14074381&frombrowse=1&pricerange;=&index=tgt-mf-mv&field;-browse=14074381&rank=pmrank&rh;=&page=3

I was thinking about getting it hemmed so it hits just above the knee, and wearing some knee high brown boots.  But I’m not sure, do you think its dressy enough?  I’m also not sure how to accessorize it or what color purse to wear… its alot of brown!

Hi there!
Do you know what the dress code would be for this party? Black-tie, festive, etc? I like the dress but it seems to go well for a daytime look.

It will definitely depend on the party - is it during the day? In the office or away?

For a purse I’d suggest a cream or taupe clutch—or to jazz it up, a metallic version (bronze or gold)—Target has lots of great bags that might fit the bill . . .

I agree with the above post. It depends on when and where the party will take place. You can never go wrong with a basic black dress. You can always add color with a fabulous colored shoe or accessories. Let us know what you decide.

I like the dress, but I think it’s a little casual for night. Maybe a similar silhouette in black? The purse issue is much easier then, too. Also, if you use a purse and shoes you already have, you can spend a bit more on the dress. At least you have time to figure it all out :)
